Okay, I know who you are, (Well, the public you, anyway), so I suppose its only fair I tell you who I am. My name is Kevin. I'm a 27 year old soldier in the US Army. I'm a father to four, husband to one, indentured to many
As I said above, there are a few questions regarding some comments on your web site I would like to address; But first a word of encouragement. Late in my sixteenth year of life I was saved by grace through faith in Jesus. Here follows a brief account of my life up to that point. At the age of eight I felt the tug of the Holy Spirit on my heart. Undernourished by any spiritual leadership in the home, however, that seed quickly went dormant. On my 11th birthday I received from my dad a gift that would define the next five tragic years of my life. My dad gave me my first vinyl EPs; The Doors Greatest Hits and Stepphenwolf's Greatest Hits. Rock Music of the 60s and 70s became my identifying mark. I got drunk for the first time that year. Iron Butterfly, Santana, The Animals, ect... were the next additions to my collection. Along with such came Marijuana at the age of 12. Then, at 13 came The Beatles. Pink Floyd, Black Sabbath, Jimi Hindryx, The Grateful Dead, and the band whom I enshrined on my wall, Led Zeppelin; and along with this, LSD. Lots of it. Oh, in! terspersed with all this, Mettalica and Slayer, Iron Maiden and Moterhead, Sound Garden, Danzig and the like could be found among my collection of audio debauchery. I fell into a group round about the age of 14, who were older than myself, that involved themselves in things much darker than I had ever been exposed to. Death Metal was the theme of their hearts. I was still deceived under the Hippy Free Love and Peace lie, but these guys were cool! Ya know? Well, I began dropping acid and hangin with them. We played A D&D, dosed, and some other things which are not even fit to be typed, much less read or uttered by the lips of man. At any rate, at the age of sixteen, It all came to a head. I found the veil that seperates mans concious mind and the spirit world had grown so thin for me, it all just vanished one evening. What I saw and heard terrified me. You know, the neat thing was though, that seed that had been planted so long ago by a faithful Grandma and her home ch! urch, it seemed to sprout simultaineously! All thoes bible stories I had learned in sunday school came flooding back, refuting the verry existance I had made for myself. The memories are still a little fuzzy, but just as Christian in The Pilgrams Progress, I too could do nothing without first seeking out the place to be rid of my burdon. Glorious day. "Well Praise God", you may be saying,"but what has this to do with FTGF"? Well, lets flash forward nine years. At first I had gotten rid of every single peice of secular music I had. Did'nt have much to replace it with, good, talented, honest Christian artists are hard to find in my opinion. So, slowly at first, my music collection began to re-build. Don't get me wrong, to blatenly obvious stuff never made it back into my collection; much. Michael Card, Keith Green, and John Michael Talbot became my artists of choice. Well, one day, while home on vacation, My dad bequeathed his entire album collection to me. Arrgh! My best old friend committed suicide and his mother gave me his album and cd collection. Aaaarrrgh! I went to Afghanistan, and all they sold in the make shift PX in a tent was Led Zeppelin, the Doors, Grateful Dead, Jimmy Buffet, (and a whole bunch of rap I never considered a valid art form any way), Oh Nooooo! Yes yes. When my pastor s! howed me "They Sold Their Souls..." my collection was once again extensive. I never really listened much, but more out of respect for my wife and children than for God. Needless to say, a few days after viewing, all of the plastic went up in flames on his farm. Burned for hours. I tell you not to boast in the flesh, but for your edification. You guys had an impact on me. As for my petty questions and concerns which really are more of a theological/doctrinal nature and have nothing to do with Media in America, that can wait for another time.

Thank you for serving him.
Kevin
