My 13 year old brother 'happened' to turn on the program one afternoon home alone.

When my mom returned with my 11 year old brother they all sat down to watch the rest. Mom and I had been praying for awhile that God would speak to the boys about their music. They came back from the summer with their worldly father and had a lot of stuff we never allowed in our home.

Mom knew as they got older she could not force them to surrender, but she could pray. We did. The first weekend the boys were back I came over to visit and they were showing me all their music and posters, etc. I was quiet and their response was, 'we know you think it's evil but it's really not....yadda, yadda, yadda' I simply said that if the same Spirit of the Living God lived in them that lived in me as they had professed then I would pray that He would show them and I wouldn't have to say a word.

Well, that evening after watching the program I came over and they were stumbling over each other to tell me what they heard. They brought almost all of their stuff out of their rooms and we went outside and had a bonfire after praying and thanking God for speaking to His children and protecting us from ourselves and Satan.

The 13 year old had kept some Nirvana stuff, against our advice, yet he prayed that night that God would show him if it was bad too. He relinguished the remaining 'poison' within the next week or so.

Thank you for being a tool used by God Almighty.

I work in youth ministry and this website will be used to minister to our low-income-at-risk kids that are largely without Godly counsel from home or church.
