WHERE IS ALL THIS HEADING?

Pullman presents the Christian God as the "dying God" whose time has come and gone and with his demise comes the heralding of a new age. As we have seen, his satanic philosophy has much in common with that of Aleister Crowley. In fact, we could conclude that Pullman is not an atheist but a Satanist in atheist clothing. When Pullman was told by an interviewer that, "A lot of people assume from The Amber Spyglass that you must be an atheist," Pullman's revealing response was:

"Well, they can assume what they like. Of course, I don't say, 'There is no God.' I say: 'There is a God, and here he is dying' - and this is what I was particularly pleased with, as a result of an act of charity. And he goes 'with a sigh of the most profound and exhausted relief.'"

Crowley taught, before Pullman, that Jesus Christ is the "Dying God." He claimed that the New Age of Horus was at hand and that mankind should be governed by the anarchical and licentious maxim, "Do What Thou Wilt Shall be the Whole of the Law." Crowley named the new age after the Aeon of the hawk headed god, Horus, and said, "With my Hawk's head I peck at the eyes of Jesus as he hangs upon the cross.

Pullman may have named his Adam figure "Will" because his "will" is presumably more important than that of God's. The deception is profound as one ends up ultimately submitting to the will of Satan and fallen angels and doing their bidding in the name of freedom. At Crowley's Abbey Of Thelema where he put his doctrine into practice, he promised his followers great freedom, but in the end they became his sex slaves. Alfred Kinsey who traveled to Crowley's sex temple with Satanist, Kenneth Anger, reported seeing full-size pornographic pictures of Crowley with women and children engaged in orgies. No one was able to even use the word "I" in reference to themselves, except Crowley, of course. Such are the vain hopes of freedom outside of God as they lead to deception and servitude to others. Jesus said no one can serve to masters and further warned, "He that is not with Me is against Me" (Matthew 12:30). Even Bob Dylan acknowledged that one will serve either God or the devil, but you will serve one or the other. The difference is that God is the Creator, Redeemer, Lover of our souls and the ultimate Judge, whereas Satan is the true usurper who desires to take as many unwitting souls to suffer in hell with him as possible. Pullman's promise of freedom from God is ultimately the grossest of servitude to the devil. Interestingly, Aleister Crowley wanted his name to be pronounced "crow-ley" because he identified with the crow. When Phillip Pullman was asked to identify his personal daemon if he were to choose he said it would have to be a crow.

Pullmans pronouncement that God is dead and that there is no ultimate authority for children to follow is no more liberating than removing speed limit signs and guard rails from a hairpin turn on a steep canyon road. Our creator gave us moral laws to guide our lives out of love so we would not destroy each other. His laws governing sexual behavior and limiting such behavior to marriage not only underscores His beautiful plan of redemption between Christ and his bride, the church, but liberates humans from contracting sexually transmitted diseases which are now in epidemic proportions. It was revealed in the fall of 2007 that over 1 million young people have contracted Clymidia, setting a new record while millions more have died of AIDS. Pullman is not preaching a gospel of freedom but a false gospel leading to sin, death, destruction and eternal damnation. God's Word warns that in the last days, prior to Christ's return, false prophets like Pullman would arise promising freedom, but in reality leading the masses to enslavement to various vices and depravity:

"But there were also false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you. They will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the sovereign Lord who bought them-bringing swift destruction on themselves. Many will follow their shameful ways and will bring the way of truth into disrepute. In their greed these teachers will exploit you with stories they have made up. Their condemnation has long been hanging over them, and their destruction has not been sleeping….Blackest darkness is reserved for them. For they mouth empty, boastful words and, by appealing to the lustful desires of sinful human nature, they entice people who are just escaping from those who live in error. They promise them freedom, while they themselves are slaves of depravity-for a man is a slave to whatever has mastered him" (2 Peter 2:1-3, 17b-19)

In his fairy tale, Pullman teaches that life supposedly originated from condensing dust and thus there is no need to be concerned about answering to a creator in regard to ones behavior. We have received a steady diet of this teaching in public schools as well as in popular media and we are now suffering the horrendous fallout because of such lies. We allow our children to be taught that they are mere animals that have evolved from pond slime and then we wonder why we now have to build cages around our schools to protect our children from one another.

Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold claimed that they had evolved higher than other human beings and life had no real value before they killed several students and a teacher during the Columbine massacre. Harris wore a shirt to their planned massacre declaring "Natural Selection." Pekka-Eric Auvinen, who recently gunned down seven students and a teacher in Finland also rejected God as the authority of his life and claimed that he too was evolving. Auvinen wore a shirt declaring "HUMANITY IS OVERATED" during his massacre. It is clear to anyone who will admit the obvious that the worldview that Pullman and others are propagating cheapens life as it denies the scriptural truth that we are fearfully and wonderfully made in the image of God. This worldview further maintains that life is ultimately without meaning and that one does not need to be concerned about being accountabie to God or facing Him in judgment when one dies.

Jeffrey Dahmer, like Harris, Klebold, and Auvinen bought into this very same worldview which led him to follow the most base and fallen of human impulses in murdering and cannibalizing 17 men and children. In an interview with MSNBC before his own death he stated that it was such a view that led him to undertake such wicked behavior in committing his grizzly murders:

"I always believed the lie that evolution is truth - the theory of evolution is truth - that we all just came from the slime and when we died, you know, that was it, there was nothing. So the whole theory cheapens life….And I started reading books that show how evolution is just a complete lie, because there's no, there's no basis in science to it to hold it, and I've since come to believe that, uh, that the Lord Jesus Christ is the true Creator of the Heavens and the Earth - it didn't just happen. I have accepted Him as my Lord and Savior. And I believe that I, as well as everyone else, will be accountable to Him."

Like Pullman Dahmer created his own little fantasy world of which he was his own god:

"After I left home that's when I started to create my own little world where I could be the one who had complete control. Where I didn't have to bow to anyone else's demands and I just took it way too far."

How many more Jeffrey Dahmer's is Phillip Pullman breeding? God only knows how many thousands of children will be adversely influenced and end up throwing their lives away along with the lives of countless others because Pullman has taught them that they are mere accidents from the fortuitous forces of nature and have no value as creations of God. Pullman falsely stereotypes the church by failing to make a distinction between true Christians and hypocrites like himself stating, "The churches in every world are corrupt and weak…" (Philip Pullman. The Amber Spyglass, p. 54)

Pullman not only poisons the minds of the youth toward God, but he also effectively plants seeds of hatred in the minds of impressionable children to wage war against Christians in the future. This is part of a conditioning process that Satan has waged through Hollywood and the music industry for decades now. Just after Pullman falsely characterizes the church as butchering boys and girls, he has one of his "good" characters declare that a war is coming between Satan's followers and the church:

"There is a war coming, boy. The greatest war there ever was. Something like it happened before, and this time the right side must win. We've had nothing but lies and propaganda and cruelty and deceit for all the thousands of years of human history. It's time we started again, but properly this time." (Philip Pullman. The Subtle Knife , pp. 282)

He further prepares his huge audience to come against the church with the following words:

"So if war comes and the Church is on one side of it, we must be on the other, no matter what strange allies we find ourselves bound to." (Phillip Pullman, The Subtle Knife, p. 45)

Just as Pullman describes the biblical God, Yahweh, as not existing from everlasting but as mysteriously condensing from dust, he also presents his god as not existing "to everlasting" and has him dying off as a desperately feeble and senile old man. He has his hero kill god by exposing the feeble and pathetic old man to the elements:

"Demented and powerless the aged being could only weep and mumble in fear and pain and misery, and he shrank away from what seemed like yet another threat...The old one was uttering a wordless whimper that went on and on, and grinding his teeth, and compulsively plucking at himself with his free hand...they helped the ancient of days out of his crystal cell; it wasn't hard, for he was as light as paper, and he would have followed them anywhere, having no will of his own...But in the open air there was nothing to stop the wind from damaging him...his form began to loosen and dissolve....Then he was gone: a mystery dissolving in mystery."

What many people are unaware of is the fact that there is indeed a cosmic war between Satan and his fallen angels and the Lord God and the angelic hosts of heaven (Revelation 12:7-17). This war includes attacks against the church and Christ. In fact, we are told in the book of Revelation that the world gathers together under the deluding influence of the Antichrist at the end of the age to make war against Christ at His Second Coming:

"The ten horns you saw are ten kings who have not yet received a kingdom, but who for one hour will receive authority as kings along with the beast. They have one purpose and will give their power and authority to the beast. They will make war against the Lamb, but the Lamb will overcome them because he is Lord of lords and King of kings-and with him will be his called, chosen and faithful followers" (Revelation 17:12-14)

The results of this war are already determined by the all-knowing God. Potential for victory only exists in the vain imaginations of those whom Satan has fully deceived and is leading to eternal damnation (Revelation 20:1-15). By the grace of God, the church is also guaranteed a resounding victory by the Lord Jesus Christ and assured that Satan will not be successful in his attempt to destroy the church. Jesus promised, "…upon this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell will not prevail against it!" (Matthew 16:18). He is not coming back for a church that tortures little children or leads them into believing that Satan will have the victory, but for the true church, "a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless" (Eph. 5:27b).

God's Word warns that one of the signs of the last days would be the emergence of scoffers who would arise and blaspheme God in order to justify their perverse behavior:

"First of all, you must understand that in the last days scoffers will come, scoffing and following their own evil desires" (2 Peter 3:3).

It also pronounces the severest judgment for those who call evil good and good evil:

"Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter" (Isaiah 5:20)

God further reveals that blasphemers will be judged at the Second coming of Christ when he returns in glory:

"See, the Lord is coming with thousands upon thousands of his holy ones to judge everyone, and to convict all the ungodly of all the ungodly acts they have done in the ungodly way, and of all the harsh words ungodly sinners have spoken against him" (Jude 1:14b-15)

Pray for the salvation of Phillip Pullman because he is in far greater peril than He is probably aware of. While he will be woefully unsuccessful in killing God as was Nietzsche before Him, like Nietzsche, he will no doubt be successful in killing God in the minds of many. Jesus said of Judas that it would have been better for him to have never been born and he said of men like Phillip Pullman, who corrupt children, that they will suffer the worst punishment of all. Jesus warned that it would be better for them to have a large Millstone tied around their necks and then be cast into the sea than to experience the fierce judgment they will receive for molesting the minds and souls of little children and turning their hearts from Him (Matthew 18:6). God's Word warns, "It is a terrible thing to fall into the hands of the living God." (Hebrews 10:31)
