Before founding Good Fight Ministries in 1987, Joe Schimmel was a teenage guitar player immersed in the world of drugs, mysticism, and metaphysical philosophy. He wasn’t just listening to rock music—he was spiritually influenced by it! Joe began channeling lyrics, believing he was tapping into some creative force. That force turned out to be far darker than he imagined.

A terrifying demonic experience shook him to the core. It was then that Joe repented of his connection to the occult, renounced the bands and teachings of artists like Led Zeppelin and Jimi Hendrix, and gave his life to Jesus Christ.

From Personal Revelation to Public Exposé

After surrendering his life to Christ, Joe embarked on an intense journey of research into the spiritual roots of the music he once idolized. What he uncovered was startling—many of the most influential artists openly admitted to being inspired or even possessed by spiritual entities, and many were followers of occultist Aleister Crowley.

In 1981, driven by a conviction to warn others, Joe began sharing his findings—initially in living rooms and small church gatherings, equipped with nothing more than a record player and overhead slides. His bold, eye-opening message began to gain traction.

In 1992, Joe was invited to present at Hal Lindsey’s church, Tetelestai Fellowship. That live presentation was captured on film and became Rock & Roll Sorcerers of the New Age Revolution.
